The village of Huamao, formerly called Huangmaotian, used to be a desolate and uninhabited place. But now, it has become a leading example of opportunity for Guizhou province thanks to a series of measures for poverty eradication.
On November 22, 2017, the Chinese and foreign scholars who participated in 'Long March of the New Era' visited Huamao village. They walked along the road where President Xi Jinping once passed to see the new development of Huamao village. They tasted local wine, red vinegar and experienced the processes of blacksmithcrafting and pottery. This new village totally fascinated and captivated all the participants.
