Hu Ge, a Chinese actor born in 1982, skyrocketed to national fame starring in the 2005 hit television series, Chinese Paladin, and then became a heartthrob among young women in China. However, he was severely injured in a car accident in August 2006. The young idol made a long-awaited comeback as an increasingly mature actor, with his best known role as Mei Changsu in the 2015 television drama, Nirvana in Fire, for which he received the Best Actor Award at the 22nd Magnolia Awards.
