Love brings cool relief to hot summer on Shanghai street

A refrigerator providing free water and beverages to sanitation workers, express couriers and takeaway deliverymen has become a hot spot in Shanghai.

Many people and businesses nearby voluntarily placed water and beverages in the unattended refrigerator at No 30 Baiyu road, Putuo district, Shanghai. The extra bottles of water were left next to the refrigerator.

At the very beginning a freezer was put there. When the freezer broke down, a nearby supermarket put the refrigerator there, continuing to provide free cold water.

Some companies said they would like to provide a certain amount of free cold water in the long run, to pass on the love and show appreciation to the sanitation workers, express couriers and takeaway deliverymen who greatly contribute to making people's lives better and more convenient in the new era, even in such hot weather.
