Goods trader Louis Dreyfus to join hands with local partners at CIIE

Global agricultural goods trader Louis Dreyfus Co said it will sign several new agreements with local partners, in areas including soybean and grain imports, and food supply and safety along the value chain, at the first China International Import Expo held in Shanghai.
The company has brought a number of products including fruit juice, sustainable palm oil, soybeans used to produce refined edible oil and animal feed.
"We are pleased to participate in this first CIIE, which is a great opportunity to reinforce collaboration with our Chinese counterparts and to continue to expand our understanding of Chinese consumers," said James Zhou, head of North Asia.
"The expo is an excellent platform to confirm our long-term commitment to collaborating with our partners and the government," Zhou said. "The Chinese market offers huge potential to move closer to consumers, beyond a traditional business-to-business, or B2B mode, and CIIE is an excellent arena in which to increase our understanding of consumer needs."
