China's top legislature starts bimonthly session

BEIJING - The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) started its bimonthly session Tuesday morning to review multiple draft laws and revisions to laws, including the draft vaccine administration law and draft revisions to land administration law and urban real estate administration law.
Other legislative documents include the draft sections on marriage and family and inheritance of the civil code, draft revisions to the forest law, draft revisions to the curbing solid waste pollution law, the draft community correction law and the draft cryptography law, according to the agenda.
The NPC Standing Committee will also consider a State Council report on 2018 final accounts and an audit report on the central government's 2018 budget implementation, fiscal revenue and expenditures, as well as examine and approve the central government's final accounts in 2018.
In the five-day session, the lawmakers will also review reports on cultural industry development and implementation of law on the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The session will run from June 25 to 29.
