Chongqing brings famous hotpot to second CIIE

Lucky foodies visiting the ongoing second CIIE in Shanghai have been flocking to the cultural heritage section of Chongqing's exhibition located in the North Square.

Measuring 10 meters in diameter –– making it the world's largest, the giant pot can seat 56 diners at a time, each of whom receive an exclusive mini pot for dipping their food. The 56 pots symbolize the unity and harmony of China's 56 ethnic groups.

While enjoying the hotpot the city is famous for, customers are entertained by Sichuan Opera performers wearing an array of masks.
