Return to F1 still possible, says Pole driver Robert Kubica

WARSAW - Polish driver Robert Kubica is trying to keep his F1 dream and "misses the rivalry on the track".
In 2019 Kubica made a spectacular return to F1 after eight years to join Williams Racing, but was not given the opportunity to compete for a place on the team. Neither the team nor the driver were satisfied with the cooperation. Consequently, the Pole decided to leave Williams Racing and is currently the test driver for Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen.
However, the Pole still hopes to get a seat on a team for 2021.
"I believe everything is still possible. I'd much rather compete on the track than serve as a test driver. Time goes by and I get older every year. After my comeback I have a great passion for driving in F1 which had slightly faded in my last season", Kubica was quoted as saying by Polish media on Wednesday.
The F1 season is currently suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak. "It happened at one of the worst moments but it's is very important to adapt to the new reality", added Kubica.
