Ge said that to ensure food hygiene and safety, special personnel supervise during the kitchen's operational hours and guide students to use the equipment correctly. "The canteen chefs are also there, ready to help at any time," he added.
"I hope there can be more cooking areas set up in the communal space to meet students' demand," said Huo. "I also hope to get the chance to join some cooking courses."
"We have planned to expand the services of the communal kitchen, such as by carrying out regular courses on food safety, cooking skills and healthy eating, as well as holding cooking competitions," said Tan Hongbo, director of the university's logistics department. "We hope to encourage more students and teachers to learn about healthy eating habits."
