Carmelo Anthony, Penny Taylor to host draws for Olympic basketball

MIES, Switzerland -- Australia's Penny Taylor and Carmelo Anthony of the United States will host the draws for the men's and women's basketball competitions of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, FIBA announced here on Tuesday.
The draws will take place at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland, on March 19.
Taylor won the Women's World Cup with Australia in 2006, and took silver medals at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Anthony won gold medals at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics with the American men's basketball teams, and took bronze at Athens 2004.
The 12 teams for the women's basketball tournament at Paris 2024 were decided after the four FIBA qualifying tournaments concluded during the past weekend, while eight of the 12 teams for the men's tournament have so far been confirmed.
