China's State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- China's State Council on Friday announced the appointment and removal of several officials.
Lin Tao was appointed deputy secretary-general of the State Council, replacing Guo Wei.
Liu Bin was appointed assistant minister of foreign affairs.
Qiao Yueshan was appointed deputy head of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
Chen Xinfa was appointed deputy head of the China Academy of Engineering Physics.
