Russian rider Rikunov claims Pingtan cycling race

PINGTAN, Southeast China -- Russia's Petr Rikunov pulled away to win the men's elite group title on Monday at the Pingtan International Cycling Race.
The Chengdu Cycling Team rider clocked two hours, four minutes and 35 seconds to emerge the winner in Pingtan County of Fujian Province, beating Venezuela's Carlos Torres into second place. Estonian rider Mihkel Raim came in third.
The 87-kilometer one-day race attracted over 2,000 riders from five international and 15 domestic teams.
The Chengdu Cycling Team won the team title with a total time of 6:14:11. Huansheng-SCOM-Taishan Sport Cycling Team and Ferei Quick-Panda Podium Mongolia Team finished second and third respectively.
