US Congress convenes to certify 2024 presidential election results

WASHINGTON -- The US Congress on Monday convened to count the electoral college votes for the 2024 presidential election and certify Donald Trump as the winner, four years after his supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to overturn the previous election result.
