The 2025 Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix vrooms into high-speed gear on March 21-23, taking poll place at the Shanghai International Circuit — located in the city's Jiading district.

It's promising to dazzle spectators with star drivers from around the world who will perform at their very peak.

As the hot host of the F1 event, Jiading district is capitalizing on the influx of visitors by offering a variety of exclusive promotions to ticket holders. These include:

Ticket holders can enter a draw to win great prizes:

• A one-year lease of an SAIC Audi A7L
• A six-month lease of a NIO EC6 or Volvo EM90

Data shows that the 2024 F1 Chinese Grand Prix had a significant economic impact:

• Attendance: 200,000 spectators.
• Direct economic impact: 1.41 billion yuan ($193.98 million).
• Output effect: 3.93 billion yuan.
• Boost to tourism sectors: The six key tourism sectors — food, accommodation, transport, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment — saw a combined increase of 1.59 billion yuan.

Additional insights include:

• Hotel bookings: Shanghai's hotel bookings increased by 63 percent compared with the previous year.
• Jiading's commercial activity: 10 major commercial enterprises there hosted nearly 1.35 million visitors over three days, generating nearly 120 million yuan in revenue — double the usual weekend revenue total.

This year, Jiading is launching a series of great initiatives during the F1 weekend, aimed at integrating commerce, tourism and culture.

• Discounts and offers: From March 21 to 23, ticket holders can enjoy discounts at selected stores in 10 commercial centers.
• Free/discount admissions: F1 ticket holders can access free or discount entry to various attractions and hotels.

What's more, Jiading is offering several special packages for visitors.

• Ticket + hotel package: In partnership with Juss Sports, Jiading offers a combo package that includes F1 tickets and a stay at the Sorl Hotel Shanghai.
• Hotel + attractions package: Visitors can enjoy discounts at seven local attractions: Shanghai Auto Museum, Shanghai International Automobile City Miniature Wonderland, Tanyuan Garden, Yong'an Pagoda, Qiuxia Garden, Huilongtan Park and Juyuan Orchard. That's also extended to two hotels: Blue Palace Hotel and Courtyard Shanghai Jiading.
• Tourism route discounts: F1 ticket holders can access discounts on Shanghai's auto-themed cultural tourism routes, along with interactive lotteries, souvenir discounts and rewards programs.
