On March 20, a "Single Bill" rail-sea intermodal train carrying glutamic acid, polypropylene, polyethylene, and other Ningxia chemical products departed on its 34-hour journey from Yinchuan Railway Station for Huangdao Station in Qingdao, Shandong province.
Since Yinchuan's "Single Bill" rail-sea intermodal train service launched in March 2022, the city has significantly expanded its trade routes, now connecting 27 countries and regions and reaching 61 ports. Since last year, 259 trains have been dispatched, exporting 387,400 metric tons of Ningxia chemical products.
As one of China's 23 commercial service-oriented logistics hubs and Ningxia's sole national logistics hub, Yinchuan plays a crucial role in integrating into the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. The "Single Bill" rail-sea intermodal train service has enhanced Ningxia's international freight capabilities and strongly supports exporting products from surrounding regions.
A Yinchuan Customs representative said, "The rail-sea intermodal train uses a 'Single Bill' and 'Single Container' door-to-door transport model. Businesses only need to coordinate with one carrier, settle costs once, and hold a single bill of lading and insurance to achieve seamless 'one container to the end' delivery."
The representative noted that compared to traditional multimodal transport, the 'Single Bill' model simplifies document exchange, short-haul transport, and cargo transshipment processes, helping businesses reduce costs, improve efficiency, and promote energy conservation and emission reduction.
