International marine expo to plumb ocean's depths

Visitors to the Zhuhai International Smart Marine Expo, which will be held in Zhuhai, Guangdong province between April 24-26, are in for a treat.
Organized by the Zhuhai Convention and Exhibition Group, China Youth Travel Service's exhibition branch Bravolinks, and the Zhuhai Ocean Development Group, it will explore all the ocean has to offer.
Under the theme of "Harnessing Ocean Intelligence, Innovating for the Future", the exhibition will cover island development and tourism, yachts and smart ships, marine ranching and deep-sea farming, over a 30,000-square-meter area, Zhang Jun, an official at Bravolinks told the Beijing news conference announcing the launch of the expo on March 28.
Some 200 companies, research bodies and institutes of higher learning will demonstrate the latest research, technology, and case studies at the expo.
During the conference, Weng Tie, deputy general manager of the Zhuhai Convention and Exhibition Group, said that the city's marine policies are gaining momentum this year with the recent release of a three-year action plan (2025-27).
The plan outlines Zhuhai's overarching goal of becoming a regional marine hub, driving high-quality development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and accelerating the growth of emerging marine industries.
