Giving teens the means to pursue artistic dreams

A new program to help teenagers pursue their dreams of performing on stage has recently been launched in Beijing.
Jointly initiated by Yuehua Entertainment and the Beijing Yanjing Experimental High School, it was announced on April 2 that the program would organize two to four classes for first-year students in both junior high and senior high divisions.
Leveraging the strengths of several top domestic media universities, as well as Yuehua Entertainment, which is known for pop idols like Han Geng and Wang Yibo, the program offers specialized courses in music, dance and performance arts alongside the regular academic curriculum.

Pop singer Hu Haiquan, who attended the launch event, reflected on his own upbringing, saying that unlike children today, he didn't have the opportunity to grow up in an arts-oriented learning environment in the 1970s and '80s.
"When I was young, most children treated art as a hobby, taking just one class on the weekend. I believe it will be happy and fulfilling for teenagers to begin their artistic journey as early as middle school," said Hu.
