Unitree CEO gives lecture to Zhejiang officials on robotics

Wang Xingxing, the founder, CEO and CTO of Unitree Robotics, delivered a lecture on the status and trends of the robotics industry to government officials in Zhejiang province on Thursday.
He spoke as part of the fourth session of a training program on general AI knowledge and application for all Zhejiang government officials, which started on March 18.
Unitree Robotics is known for making the dancing robots that debuted during this year's Spring Festival Gala. Their work stands as a prime example of Zhejiang's robotics industry. The key technologies for humanoid robots developed by Wang's team have garnered over 200 patents globally.
Previous sessions of the training featured various renowned figures in China's AI sector, including Wang Jian, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and founder of Alibaba Cloud, An Xiaopeng, vice-president of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, and Zhou Bin, CTO of Huawei's Ascend Computing.
The 10-session training program will run until June. Each session features one expert or entrepreneur who delves into AI-related topics, such as general knowledge, industrial applications, policies and case studies. The goal of the training is to deepen the participants' understanding of AI, explain the usage of large AI models like DeepSeek and provide insights into practical AI technology applications.
The program adopts a blended learning approach, with classes provided online and offline. The main offline class venue is the Party School of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC, with sub-venues at the municipal Party schools.
Data from the Organization Department of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee reveals that the first and second sessions saw 296,000 and 291,700 attendees online, respectively.
