Guide to Auto Shanghai 2025

The 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition — also known as the Auto Shanghai 2025 — is set to run from April 23 to May 2 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
This year's event aims to uphold its reputation as a leading A-level auto show, showcasing global advancements in automotive technology and innovation.

Exhibition layout:
- Eight halls for passenger vehicles: 3H, 4.1H, 5.1H, 5.2H, 6.1H, 6.2H, 7.1H and 8.1H
- Four halls for automotive technology and auto supply chain: 1.2H, 2.2H, 7.2H and 8.2H
- Media zone: 2.1H
- More facilities — such as lounges, medical rooms and service areas — will also be available on-site.

- Press days: April 23 and 24, 9 am-6 pm
- Trade days: April 25 and 26, 10 am-7 pm
- Public days: April 27 to May 2, 10 am-7 pm (except for May 2, when opening hours are 10 am-3 pm)

Vehicles exhibition:
Leading international and domestic automotive brands, including industry giants Volkswagen and BYD, will showcase their latest models, with global premieres and cutting-edge technologies taking center stage.
What's more, Xiaomi Automobile Co Ltd and Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, will make their debut at Auto Shanghai 2025.
Technology titans:
Major players in the automotive technology and supply chain sectors, like Robert Bosch GmbH and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Limited, will exhibit their latest innovations — with a significant increase in the scale and number of participating companies compared with previous editions.
Nearly 50 world-leading businesses — including Sony Group Corporation and Intel Corporation — will attend the event for the first time.
Concurrent events:
The auto show will host a series of forums and technical exchanges, including on April 22 the 2025 Global Automotive Leaders Closed-door Summit — covering topics such as key automotive technologies, the semiconductors industry, sustainable supply chain developments and more.

Media registration:
Media personnel should register online from now to 8 pm on April 20 (Beijing time) via the event's official website at www.autoshanghai.org — or on the WeChat account at "autoshanghaiexpo". Electronic press passes linked to individual identities will be issued and verification will be required on entry.
Electronic tickets:
All tickets for the event will be electronic. Attendees must purchase tickets through the only official platform — the WeChat mini-program for buying electronic tickets to the exhibition. They need to complete real-name registration to activate the tickets before 6 pm of the day before the nominated visit date.

Children under 1.3 meters tall or under 6 years of age enjoy free entry, but must be accompanied by an adult. Their guardians must sign a "letter of commitment for child safety" before admission.
Visitor guidelines:
For their first entry into the venue, international visitors must carry their passports and their admission credentials that have been pre-registered with their real names, perform the verification process and have their pictures taken at the service desks in the east, south, west and north entrances and undertake the facial identification access procedure.
Various service facilities such as information desks, rest areas for people with special needs, medical assistance points and communications support vehicles will be available on-site.
