Guangxi seeks deeper cross-border tourism with Vietnam

Nguyen Van Tam, deputy manager of the Quang Ninh Museum, said this event marks the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between China and Vietnam and forms part of the "China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchange."

He hoped this event would allow Vietnamese representatives to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese and Guangxi cultures, enhance their knowledge of local customs, and improve their skills in serving international tourists.

Yang Shasha, vice-president of Guilin Tourism University, emphasized the university's role as a hub for China-ASEAN tourism talent education and training, stressing its commitment to training professionals with global outlooks and strong industry expertise.

She said this event serves the broader China-Vietnam relationship, providing a crucial opportunity to deepen tourism cooperation and advance regional connectivity.

The activities include expert lectures and field visits in cities such as Guilin, Liuzhou, and Nanning. Vietnamese delegates will explore new models for cross-border tourism collaboration while experiencing both countries' distinctive cultural and tourism assets.
