How can foreign nationals from visa-exempt countries submit identity documents for business registration in Beijing?
Hello everyone, welcome back to Xiaoying's Business Channel.
With China’s expanded visa-exempt policies and extended visa-free durations, foreign investors now enjoy greater convenience in Beijing. If you are a foreign national from a visa-exempt country, you may use your valid passport to complete identity verification either online via the e-Window platform or in person at government service centers.
Here's how it works:
Open the e-Window mini-program on WeChat, navigate to Personal Verification, and select Passport of a Foreign Country (Region) as your ID type. Accurately input all required passport details, and click Start Verification to initiate verification. Once approved, proceed to complete your enterprise registration entirely online—without the need for in-person visits.
Alternatively, you may visit a government service center in person. Bring your original passport for on-site verification by staff, and submit a photocopy as your identity document.
This groundbreaking reform of Beijing eliminates the traditional requirement for notarized documents from overseas authorities or certifications by Chinese embassies/consulates, and has reduced the preparation time for establishing foreign-invested enterprises from the original 2-3 months to as fast as one day!
Looking ahead, Beijing will continue to launch more foreign investment facilitation measures, creating even greater opportunities for global investors to collaborate and thrive together.
Stay tuned for more insights for foreign enterprises' registration. See you next time!
