2025 China Refrigeration Expo to showcase global innovations

The 36th China Refrigeration Expo will be held this month at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, marking its largest edition in 38 years.
Running from April 27 to 29, the event is expected to attract nearly 1,200 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions.
Organized by leading industry bodies including the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association, and the Shanghai Society of Refrigeration, the expo revolves around the theme "Smart Connectivity, Shared Future".
It highlights cutting-edge advancements in the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) sector while fostering global collaboration and sustainability.
The expo will also spotlight the latest innovation trends, featuring the selection of the Gold Awards and the Product of the Year from a short list of 67 entries, chosen from 140 submissions.
"The competition for Gold Awards was exceptionally fierce this year, showcasing unprecedented technological maturity and market potential," said Zhang Xu, president of the Shanghai Society of Refrigeration.
Aligned with its global vision, the expo will debut an overseas edition in Saudi Arabia later this year. The Middle East, now home to 25 percent of new international construction projects, presents a strategic growth market for HVACR solutions.
The expo introduces a variety of zones to address critical industry trends:
- Industry-Academia Collaboration Zone: Highlights successful university-industry partnerships and hosts pitch sessions to accelerate R&D commercialization.
- Ozone Climate Tech Roadshow and Industrial Roundtable: Serves as a global forum for discussing environmentally friendly refrigerant policies, standards, and innovations.
- Heat Pump Innovation Pavilion: Explores AI-driven applications in commercial and industrial heat pump systems, emphasizing multi-scenario adaptability.
