Tourism conference theme song seeks English version

The first World Tourism Development Conference, co-sponsored by the Chinese government and the United Nations World Tourism Organization, will be held from May 18-21, 2016 in Beijing.

China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), which will undertake the conference, wrote a theme song based on the sprit that “tourism promotes peace and development”. The lyrics are in Chinese and they are seeking an English translation.

Anyone who is interested in Chinese culture around the world is welcome to submit his or her translated version of the lyrics to CNTA in e-mail or mail before Jan 15, 2016.

The translator also needs to submit his or her resumes and contact information in the e-mail or mail.

CNTA will organize judges to select the best translation and award the translator about 20,000 yuan. The best translation will be adopted as the official English version of the theme song.
