The figures come from the traffic control department under the Ministry of
Public Security (MPS).

South China's Guangdong Province reported a total of 26 traffic accidents

As a golden opportunity for tourism, the holiday has seen a soaring vehicle
volume in and out of the country's major scenic spots.
By noon of Thursday, some 12,000 vehicles had been to Beijing tourist sites,
and the number of tourists approached 250,000.
Officials with the traffic control department of MPS reminded travelers to
pay more attention to road safety as the number of vehicles had increased
dramatically in the holiday.
