[Reuters] | With the victory, Juventus remained
even with AC Milan in points atop Serie A. Both teams hold 73 points apiece, but
AC Milan has the slight edge, leading by one in goal-differencial.
The pressure was on Juventus entering the day after AC Milan moved three
points ahead of it with a 3-0 win over Parma on Saturday.
But the Bianconeri handled it well, rebounding from a loss to Inter Milan on
Wednesday to hand Lazio just its second loss in its past six Serie A matches.
Nedved, who used to play for Lazio, dribbled the ball on the wing before
placing it right underneath the top post for his sixth league tally of the
campaign.
Capping of Sunday's Serie A schedule: Bologna and Fiorentina battled to a
scoreless draw; Vincenzo Montella recorded his 21st goal of the season, but it
wasn't enough as Roma fell to Sampdoria, 2-1; Atalanta blanked Palermo, 1-0;
Brescia received goals from Luigi Di Biagio and Marius Stankevicius to get by
Reggina, 2-0; Chievo and Cagliari played to a 1-1 tie; Rafael scored in added
time to lead Messina past Inter Milan, 2-1; Livorno shut out Lecee, 1-0.
