 Lien Chan (R, front), the outgoing chairman of
Taiwan's opposition Nationalist party, is swarmed by supporters after
formally stepping down at a ceremony in Taipei August 19, 2005. Lien
handed the chairmanship of the party also known as the Kuomintang to
Taipei Mayor Ma Ying-jeou on Friday.[Reuters]
