莎士比亞《溫莎的風(fēng)流娘兒們》(The Merry Wives of Windsor)有這樣的句子"Hold Sirha, beare you these letters tightly." 18世紀晚期tight有soundly(熟睡的), roundly(完全的)的意思。 She had been so tight asleep."
Good night, sleep tight,
Wake up bright
In the morning light
To do what's right
With all your might.
Good night, sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite."
