不會啊，不是早晨才發了薪水嗎？我被她問得一頭霧水，解釋半天才弄明白。原來, "tighten my belt" 是指經濟拮據，必須節衣縮食度日。例如: "The harvest was bad last year, we all had to tighten our belts."
