波蘭總統選舉第二輪投票10月23日結束。初步計票結果顯示，現任華沙市長、法律與公正黨總統候選人卡欽斯基以超過半數以上的得票獲勝。據選票統計結果顯示，卡欽斯基獲得54.47%的選票，其競爭對手中右翼政黨公民綱領黨候選人圖斯克的得票率為45.53%。

這里的runoff指的是“決定性競選”，用英文解釋就是a final election to resolve an earlier election that did not produce a winner。Runoff election也可表達此意。Runoff vote則表示“決選投票”。在選舉中還有其它一些術語，如：a general election（普選）。
此外，runoff還可指“徑流”，如：China's total runoff volume of rivers and creeks is 2,700 billion cubic meters. （我國河流的總徑流量為27,000億立方米。）
