 我聽(tīng)之我見(jiàn)：沒(méi)有“大珠小珠落玉盤(pán)”，沒(méi)有“急急切切如嘈雨”，我沒(méi)有白居易的神來(lái)之筆，能將一首曲子描寫(xiě)得維妙維俏。我只知道，想聽(tīng)歌的時(shí)候，就會(huì)想起它。走路的時(shí)候聽(tīng)著它，會(huì)不由得放慢腳步；心情煩躁的時(shí)候聽(tīng)著它……

    Words & Phrases        

1. light up：照亮，如：Firework lit up the sky with their explosions of red and gold. （紅色和金黃色的焰火照亮了天空。）

light up 也可以指“讓人的臉部放光彩，容光煥發(fā)”，如：A rare smile lit up his stern features. （他那難得一見(jiàn)的微笑給他死板的臉平添了一些生氣。）

2. drown out： 淹沒(méi)；（聲音等）蓋過(guò)；壓倒。

在歌中，“you drown out the crowd”可意譯為“所有塵囂即離我們遠(yuǎn)去”。

3. old Mr. Webster：相信大家都聽(tīng)過(guò)大名鼎鼎的“韋氏字典”（美國(guó)人自己出的字典，在權(quán)威性方面相當(dāng)于中國(guó)的新華字典）。

筆者估計(jì)這里“Mr. Webster”的作用相當(dāng)于“Mr. Know-all”，當(dāng)然“old Mr. Webster”會(huì)更親切。
