百度與中信銀行將建“直銷銀行”

中信銀行17日發布公告，宣布與百度合作設立直銷銀行，直銷銀行暫定名稱為“百信銀行股份有限公司”。

11月17日，據知情人士透露，中國搜索巨頭百度公司與中信銀行計劃建立直銷銀行，在線提供投資產品與貸款服務。

直銷銀行（direct banks），誕生于20世紀九十年代末北美及歐洲等經濟發達國家，是互聯網時代應運而生的一種新型銀行運作模式，這一經營模式下，銀行沒有營業網點，不發放實體銀行卡（real bank card），客戶主要通過電腦、電子郵件、手機、電話等遠程渠道獲取銀行產品和服務。

“百信銀行”將主要提供理財產品（wealth-management products），比如貨幣市場基金（money-market funds）和其它投資產品（investment products），以及向消費者及企業提供貸款。

中信銀行表示直銷銀行的目標是為進一步推進公司在互聯網金融領域的業務，發展普惠金融（inclusive finance），支持實體經濟（real economy）。直銷銀行可以幫助銀行吸引更多的客戶，此外，還可以為銀行減少運營成本（operational costs）。《華爾街日報》表示，這是百度為了在迅速增長的互聯網金融服務領域更好地展開競爭而推出的最新舉措（latest push to better compete against its rivals in the rapidly growing space for online financial services）。
