The 20th Beijing Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium Zhongguancun special session, as well as the opening ceremony of the Beijing Hong Kong Youth Maker Training Camp, was held on Nov 3 in Beijing, a sign that Zhongguancun and Hong Kong are cooperating to jointly attract and train international innovative talents.

The training camp was intended to provide an opportunity for talents from Beijing and Hong Kong to exchange ideas and develop innovation and entrepreneurial skills. In the long term the camp's effect will be to attract more international talents to join Zhongguancun, which will upgrade both the Chinese and world economy.

The implementation of the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan and the promotion of the Belt and Road initiative give Beijing and Hong Kong further impetus to cooperate on innovation and entrepreneurship.

One of the event sponsors, TGN Tusholdings, a company focused on offering entrepreneurial training and accelerating the growth of newly established enterprises, recently signed an agreement with the Zhongguancun Innoway to build a TGN Beijing Space in the high-tech zone.

The agreement means that the Zhongguancun-Hong Kong innovative resources linkage will gather more talents and attract high-quality global financing, promoting internationalization of Zhongguancun's entrepreneurship.

Inventive makers conducted roadshows of their programs, and new technologies and achievements were on display after the ceremony.

Zhongguancun has become a global highland of innovative enterprise cultivation and many firms in the high-tech zone have moved into a phase of internationalized financing and research from one of product orientation, which means Zhongguancun has become a leader instead of a follower in some industries.

Zhongguancun is one of the country's most entrepreneurial and innovative platforms. Cross-border integration and other aspects of the new economy are cradled there, adding to its increasing influence.
