Michael Jordan to mingle with local fans in HK

Michael Jordan, the greatest hoops player of all time, will visit Hong Kong
as part of his upcoming Asia Tour, his tour organizer announced on Sunday.

as well as dignitaries during basketball events and exhibitions.

Jordan's Asia Tour includes stops in Beijing and Hong Kong, followed by
Taipei and Tokyo. In Hong Kong, "His Airness" will promote the global reach of
the game of basketball as the sport's most recognizable ambassador and inspire
youth and fans by reinforcing the importance of excellence in every endeavor.
Michael Jordan Tour Schedule:
May 19-20, 2004 - Beijing (China)
May 21, 2004 - Hong Kong (China)
May 22, 2004 - Taipei (China)
May 23, 2004 - Tokyo (Japan)
Arriving on May 20, Michael Jordan will take part in youth and media focused
activities. On May 21, he will attend a press conference, the Opening Ceremony
of the Jordan Exhibition and the Jordan Cup, where he will teach the importance
of dedication, commitment and drive - the characteristics that made him the most
recognizable and successful athlete in the world today, both on and off the
court.

sky's the limit. The game of basketball has taught me valuable life skills that
have carried over to endeavors both on and off the court. During my tour of
Asia, I want to pass along this knowledge and encourage youth around the world
that positive energy and high aspirations will lead to excellence, which has helped me and the Jordan brand reach our levels of success."
Jordan was cited as saying to local fans by his tour organizers.
The Michael Jordan Super Fan Recruitment is now on-going to gather Jordan's
die-hard fans with special memorabilia to show offtheir precious collectibles at
the Jordan Exhibition. Basketball fans can also earn a chance to meet the most
respected idol in Hong Kong by logging on a special internet.
Michael Jordan will be interacting with Hong Kong top basketball players and
young talents in the Jordan Cup. He will give them personal tips and talk about
what drives him toward excellence - with the hope that his messages will inspire
players,fans and consumers, current and new.
