consistent topspin game to whitewash the defensive player 4-0 (11-2, 11-2, 11-8,
11-7).
The world top-ranked Chinese will take on Tie Yana from Hong Kong, China, on
Saturday. Tie moved up after beating teammate Lau Sui Fei 4-2.
Wang Nan, winner of two gold medals at the 2000 Olympic Games, defeated
Croatian Tamara Boros 4-2 to set up a rematch against Singapore's Li Jia Wei,
who downed Belarus' Viktoria Pavlovich 4-2.
Li eliminated Wang in the 2004 Olympic singles competition.
