今天是24節氣中的“小暑”，也是全國大部分地區盛夏的開始。連日以來，我國南北方都被卷入了滾滾的熱浪當中，多數地區出現40度以上的高溫，并迎來“桑拿天”。

The heatwave that has already lasted three days is expected to ease and temperatures should fall to around 30 degrees Celsius after rainfall on Wednesday. However, the rain could continue until Saturday, leading to "sauna weather" during the second half of the week.

據估計，本周三（北京）將迎來降雨，持續三天的熱浪將得到緩解。但這場降雨將持續至周六，在本周后幾天將京城徹底拖入“桑拿天”。

文中的sauna weather就是我們平時說的“桑拿天”，sauna（桑拿浴）的感覺想必大家都知道，stiflingly hot（非常悶熱），因此sauna weather就是用來形容悶熱難耐的天氣，也稱為sauna days。

本周一，北京市氣象臺發布了今年首個orange-coded heat alert（高溫橙色預警），land surface temperature（地面溫度）超過55攝氏度，power consumption（用電量）再達峰值。在這樣的“大蒸籠”里，很多人出現了不適癥狀，大家要謹防heat stroke（中暑）。
