Fengxiansi Cave

It is the largest cliff-niche in Longmen Grottoes. It is also the most representative work of Longmen’s carvings in Tang Dynasty.








Xiangshan Temple

Xiangshan Temple, which ranked the first among the ten temples at Longmen, is situated in the middle mountainside of the East Hill.








Baiyuan Garden

The Baiyuan Garden refers to the mausoleum of Bai Juyi, an outstanding poet of the Tang Dynasty who lived between AD 772 and AD 846.








Yaofang Cave

The cave got its name due to the 140 medical prescriptions of Tang Dynasty engraved on both sides of the entrance.








Guyang Cave

Guyang Cave is the oldest cave with the richest contents in Longmen Grottoes. It is also a cave which houses the majority of the statues that royal members of Northern Wei made vows to build.








Lotus Cave

Lianhua Cave (Lotus Cave) is located on the middle floor of West Hill at Longmen Grottoes.








Wanfo Cave



2011-04-25



Located on the cliff in the middle of Longmen’s West Hill, it is a cave of merit in honor of Gaozong and his wife Wuzetian (the first woman Emperor in Chinese history).








Jinan Cave



2011-05-18



In ancient China, it was not rare for people who were not Buddhists to sponsor Buddhist activities or projects for the sake of their parents.
